As a funeral home, our goal is to assist clients in creating the personalized service you select to honor the life of their loved ones.

We are available around the clock, and we provide a full range of services to make this difficult time as easy as possible for the family. We work on behalf of the families to arrange all plans, obtain death certificates and permits, and to take custody and care of the body.

Our staff works closely with the family, arranges the service, ensures that all aspects of the graveside and the funeral service are in place, and provides transportation for the immediate family before, during and at the end of the funeral service. We also provide all necessary services if the body is to be moved to another location.

Mahlako Royal Funerals (Pty) Ltd is a startup business that will provide the following funeral products and services. Some services will be standard to policy holders while others will be optional extras that the bereaved families may request.

Mahlako Royal Funerals (Pty) Ltd is an authorised financial services provider (‘FSP” in terms of in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (“FAIS Act”). We offer a wide range of group funeral plans at competitive rates. Our services offering includes funeral covers to families, employers, church groups, societies, social clubs and many more. Our funeral plans include cover for the whole family including extended and nominated members, single members and single members with children.

Upon being notified of the death, we remove the body from where the death took place to the funeral home where the body is stored in our facilities.

We assist with the registration of death with the department of Home Affairs and the issuing of the death certificate.

Families can be able to select from a wide range of coffins and caskets to bury their loved ones. Wreaths can also be purchased from the funeral home for families who wish to send messages to their departed loved ones

We assist families in coordinating different phases of the burial of their loved ones. This includes:

We offer a wide range of vehicles for the burial service. These include the hearse to transport the deceased as well as the family cars that transports the family members from the home to the graveside and back home

  • Home Service Setup
    The setup at home includes the tent, carpet, chairs and tables
  • Graveyard Service Setup & Service
    The setup at the graveyard includes the gazebo/stretch tent/ cabana tent, hairs, carpets, stanchions, refreshments and grave marker. We also facilitate the operation of the coffin lowering device and other related services.
  • Sound System
    We also offer a sound system which comes with a deejay and cordless mics

We arrange both fresh and artificial flowers according to the client requirements

Photography, Videography & Livestreaming
Capturing the events of laying to rest the loved ones is just as important as all other services. To ensure that the memories of our loved ones remaining our hearts forever, we offer the photography, videography including drone as well as livestreaming services which also serves to keep in the loop those who may have not been able to attend the funeral.

Preparing meals at a funeral can be a daunting task especially when everyone if engulfed with grief. We make sure that the meals are prepared according to client specification

Décor Services
While we offer the home service setup as a standard, we also offer décor services for clients who are looking for exclusive touch to the setup. The décor service includes a themed service décor, formal lunch décor as well as VIP couch setup. This is done according to the clients’ specification.

We also offer VIP mobile toilets for the home service.

Moving a deceased body from one town to another can be overwhelming for the family. Considering the paperwork administration as well as the transportation cost, we help transport the body to their final resting destination. This is done free of charge for 400km single trip. Extra distance will be covered at R7.00 per km
